Default Biggest doe you ever killed in N.C. or anywhere for non NC hunters?

I killed a 110 lb doe with my bow one year, and last year I topped that by killing a 120 lb doe with my rifle.

I actually doubled up last year with another 110 lb doe and a 120 lb doe. I had 3 deer come across a slough. I made up my mind that the last deer coming across was the biggest, and I waited for her to hit dry ground. I realized the doe in front of her was a big one too, but stuck with my plan. When #3 hit dry ground, I dropped her and swung around to see #2's shoulder through some trees, and dropped her. #3 was 120 lbs and #2 was 110 lbs. The deer in front was about 55 lbs. I ended up see that deer again about an hour later.

Compared to other states, I realize a 120 lb doe is not very big, but for N.C., it is pretty plump. I don't see them that large very often.

BTW, these were weighed without field dressing.

My largest doe was 125# with a rifle at 85 yards. She had four fetuses (16 little legs) in her in late November. Florida deer just don't know when to mate like their brothers and sisters up north.

My largest buck is 158# and 8-points with a rifle at 22 yards. I saw a 175# bruiser this year in SC taken by another hunter on the land that I was hunting. Nice deer. My Processor says large deer are better for jerkey than hamburger or cube steak.

I applaud your ability to get up close and personal to deer to take them with a bow. There are a lot of deer in NC and SC. Regardless, you have to do everything right to take them with a bow. Very good. Very good.
If it was easy anybody could do it.

Here in NC, I've never shot a "BIG" NC doe, I've had several in the 115lb range. The biggest I've shot was 165lbs weighed in Ohio. I've shot several in the 150lb range in Ohio as well. I have seen a few in Ohio that would push 180, but haven't been able to shoot one yet.

I love hunting
